5 warm-up moves before padel

A short routine you can do on the side of the court while you wait.

Padel is short sprints, quick turns and lots of low balls. Five minutes on the side of the court gets your legs ready for it.

1. Leg swings

Hold the glass or the fence. Ten swings forward and back, then ten side to side, on each leg.

2. Walking lunges

Six slow lunges per leg, front knee in line with your toes.

3. Side shuffles

Shuffle along the baseline and back twice, staying low.

4. Split-step jumps

Ten light split-steps, landing softly on the balls of your feet.

5. Shadow rallies

One minute of shadow strokes moving to the corners, first at half pace, then at match pace.

A warm-up gets your body ready to play. It doesn't replace advice from a professional if something hurts.
